Vote for Lael on November 8th!

Lael has been officially endorsed by the Sierra Club,  the Asheville Firefighers Association,  the Western North Carolina Central Labor Council,  and People Advocating Real Conservancy! (Click here for more)

Lael Gray is the right person to help Asheville achieve our community’s vision for success and to build a sustainable future. She has a proven track record:

working to protect and connect our diverse neighborhoods,
advocating for children,
fostering community dialogue,
and speaking out on energy and transportation issues.

I am running for Asheville City Council because I am dedicated to Asheville. I have spent my life advocating for environmental protection,  improved race relations,  access to quality education,  and equal rights for all.

I will bring my experience in business and non-profit management,  community activism,  consensus-building,  and creative problem solving to Asheville City Council.

Asheville has the potential to be a model for other cities in our country,  and I’ll work tirelessly to make our goals a reality:

- green jobs
- flourishing local economy
- car-free transportation options
- energy conservation
- protection of our beautiful surroundings
- positive relations between diverse groups
- community partnerships to better meet community needs
- intelligently planned access to natural and cultural resources
